D&B / AllBusiness (www.hoovers.com, www.dnb.com, www.AllBusiness.com )D&B purchased AllBusiness.com in 2009 to help the company achieve their online goals. As part of the Engineering team I participated in all aspects of migrating the majority of the D&B sites from their previous platforms to the AllBusiness CMS including www.hoovers.com and www.dnb.com. AllBusiness.com is an online media and e-commerce company that operates one of the premier business sites on the Web (about). I was hired to help build the state of the art publishing/CMS system that AllBusiness website is built on. This position is in a fast passed, team based development environment that requires interaction at all levels. As a Sr. Developer I am involved with the architecture, design and implementation of new projects. The system is built with an Apache, ColdFusion/Railo/J2EE, SQL Server/MySql/MVC architecture heavily utilizing components. I was personally in charge of many of the site integration projects including Lead Processing (Savvion, Sales Force, DemandBase), Analytics (Omniture / Adobe Digital Marketing Suite, Google Analytics), Chat (LivePerson, BoldChat) , Advertising (Double Click, AdWords). Main technologies used: ColdFusion/Railo, Macromedia Studio/Eclipse, SQL Server, Apache, Java, Flex, JQuery, MySql, PHP, JQuery and AJAX.

During my time at IntelliChoice I have performed many different functions and filled in wherever need. For most of 2005 I worked on the windows forms UI built with C# .Net that allows data entry personal to enter and maintain vehicle information in the extensive IntelliChoice database. The development of this tool required advanced programming as well as creating the queries and stored procedures needed to interact with the database. In addition to windows forms development I have also been the lead developer for the www.intellichoice.com web site and the profiled sites IntelliChoice maintains for its clients and performed many DBA functions as well. As part of a small development team this position requires being able to do what ever is needed for development, site maintenance and external application integration. I was hired as a consultant by SCIF to build an intranet site for their Network Systems division. I took their existing static html site, applied a new design and converted it into a fully customizable, dynamic portal based site using Microsoft’s .Net Framework. The site consists of a modular front end built in C# .Net with a SQL Server backend. I worked with the Network Systems Managers and members of the different units to design a solution that would fit their needs. One of the many custom features is a searchable Document Management Systems that allows users to easily find the documents they need while allowing the site administrators to manage the large collection of documents with minimal effort. In this position I have also been charged with training other members of the web team in different aspects of web design, concepts, graphics and coding.

In this position I have worked on several client projects and support the day-to-day operations of the business. I am responsible for performing many roles in this small company, including Lead Developer, DBA and System Admin. One example is the new site we built for IntelliChoice (http://www.intellichoice.com). During this project I was responsible for the total redesign of a high visibility B2C Automotive web site. I worked with designers to develop a new look for the site and lead the team that converted all static pages to dynamic database driven output. I set up and maintain the development environment, including acting as DBA for the SQL Server and MySQL database. I set up the database schema and worked with an outside consultant to implement the load scripts and apply performance tuning. The entire initial redesign from start to release was completed in under a month and a half.

The FreeSamples.com site was a high traffic B2C site that required 100% uptime regardless of traffic. Responsible for building new functionality to the existing consumer site and rewriting functionality to increase performance. Also responsible for modifying and tuning the oracle stored procedures controlled through shell scripts, that generate the order and log files that are sent to outside venders. Other duties consist of performance tuning, error log file monitoring and SQL tuning. Main software applications are Oracle, ColdFusion, Apache, Solaris, CVS, Windows 2000 and Visual Source Safe.

Involved in a highly structured, continuous web development process for a B2C / B2B / ASP (Application Service Provider) e-commerce company. Built highly advanced, modular, reusable, well-documented, optimized server side scripts in a ColdFusion / Oracle environment. Assumed responsibility for the setup, configuration and maintenance of the Apache web servers, running Solaris 2.7. Main software applications are Oracle, ColdFusion, Apache, and CVS. Helped create and enforce coding standards. Assisted in creation of Unix / NT development environment. Installed new hardware at co-location facility. .

Participated in core group responsible for Pacific Bell billing systems. Designed, developed, and implemented web based reporting software using ColdFusion and Oracle that uses data from the mainframe to make high visibility upper management reports to assure overall quality and accuracy of the billing systems. Responsibilities include Web Master, ColdFusion Administrator, Web Developer, Backup server support, Lead Programmer, team DBA and Intern mentor.
