The demand for health record technicians is expected to grow faster than average over the next several years and with the ICD 10 change over imminent (October 1, 2015), Health Information Management departments in hospitals, clinics and doctor's offices will need qualified recruits. I am working diligently to be considered for that end. My goal is to showcase the skills and training acquired through the Health Information Technology program at Southwestern Michigan College. When finished, I hope to make a lasting contribution to a HIM department helping them to keep current and compliant with AHIMA, HIPPA, and HITECH best practices, standards and requirements.I am not there yet, my goal is before me and is within reach. I will keep you posted on this site and please keep me in mind as a future prospect. As of 8/4/2016, I am one step closer having passed the RHIT examination. I am currently serving as an intern at Mishawaka Osteopathic Clinic. This is the last requirement in earning an Associate in Applied Science at Southwestern Michigan College.
Listed skills include Leadership, Powerpoint, Information Security, Public Speaking, and 19 others.
