The Diversity Arts Incubation Programme (DA-IP) provides training and creative interventions engaging individuals with the creative sector. Our work includes research & consultancy on behalf of Local Authorities, third sector organisations, youth agencies and educational services. Our programmes provide the support and development of key skills required by arts practitioners, young emerging artists and creative industry entrepreneurs. This is supported by our: · Specialist knowledge of the needs of our target market · A proven track record · Innovative programmes · Established partnerships and networksThrough the work we do with young people, our ethos is to encourage intercultural dialogue and the exploration of social issues using creativity as a medium for expression. Our core programmes include:Young Emerging Artists Programme (YEA!) – A holistic programme of Artistic training and development, including theatre, music and dance.Artists Agency - A catalogue of artists and technicians from a range of creative backgrounds. Creative Business Training – Providing individual practitioners, voluntary arts groups with business start up support including; one to one business diagnostics, tailored support in the preparation of creative business planning, marketing, fundraising and accredited training. Creative Consultancy - Wide ranging project delivery and specifically tailored creative interventions providing solutions, support and advice by engaging industry professionals.

Belgrave Baheno Peepul Centre was a multifunctional project which ran a varied programme, including: dance, film, theatre, literature, visual arts, music and. We also hosted seminars with international speakers. The unique and inspirational multi-purpose innovative new venue was designed by Andrzej Blonski architects to create both local and international cultural space. The building was opened in Leicester in October 2005. It providing a wide range of services and amenities. These included a major arts and conference auditorium, a multi-media library, an enterprise zone, a healthy living area and childcare facilities. Under the stewardship of Rita Patel the facility provided a wide range of services and amenities. These include a major arts and conference auditorium, a multi-media library, an enterprise zone, a healthy living area and childcare facilities. The centre aimed to offer the very best facilities with pioneering, new & exciting experiences. During my tenure I • manage the organisations commitment to the Arts Council and its regular investment which partially funded the artistic programme.• developed a unique arts and cultural programme • developed an annual pantomime• developed a bi-monthy comedy programme• developed a regular live music programme• developed a regular visual arts programme• developed an active media programme• showcases a combined arts programme with a variety of professional and amateur productions from artists and groups based not only here in the city, but across the country and even worldwide. Sadly the direction has moved away from the original aims.
