This is primarily monitoring and troubleshooting all of our offshore main gas turbine compressor sets. Utilizing remote onshore tools like Shell Smartconnect, System1, VEWS, plant DCS and crucially the gas turbine TCPs. This is a major part of Shell’s Proactive Technical Monitoring initiative that was rolled out in 2017. Immediate successes so far include prevention of major start-up trips due to insufficient value multiplications for gearbox axial displacements for offshore's F23 K-2400 gas turbine compressors.For the MM Reset Project in-charged of the rotating equipment portion of the overall Sarawak Shell Berhad offshore facilities spare parts management and re-optimization, under the Operations Readiness team. Work includes the identification, verification, and repopulation of Sarawak asset’s rotating equipment spares and inventory for all critical services. The project includes management of excess spares, purchase of safety and production critical spares, reviews of existing SAP database and BOM creation, set-up of vendor PAs and GFAs etc. This project aims to re-instate the foundation of Materials Management (MM) to minimize operational deviations, production deferment, procurement costs, inventory costs and reduce Non-Cost-Recoverable risks in the near term. It also aims to enable the continuous improvement of the end-to-end processes of Logistics, Maintenance & MM (LMMM) in the longer term - for sustained and improved business performance outcomes. Target is a saving of 11.4 mil USD within the next four years.
