I currently Lecture in Criminology, Sociology & Psychology at Walsall College and on the Degree Holder Entry Program (DHEP) For the Open University. Currently, I am undertaking an MSC in Psychology to further enhance my knowledge of the social sciences. Additionally, at the end of 2022, I was awarded the Walsall College STAR Award for V6 and in 2024 the Recognition of Excellence in Teaching award at the Open University.I have an MA in criminology distinction and a BA (Hons) first-class from Birmingham City University. During my studies, I have developed a deep and critical understanding of criminology, with specialist areas including the analysis of harm, technology-assisted crime and corporate crime, and utilizing contemporary criminological theories of Ultra-Realism, Zemiology and Deviant Leisure. Furthermore, I have recently completed my PGCE and will be continuing on to my QTLS, so that I can further enhance my teaching.Previously, I was a Special Constable during my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, giving me a unique perspective regarding the police from my own experiences. Furthermore, I have been actively involved in my personal development taking every opportunity for additional training. Additionally, I have previous experience as the assistant manager of Maplin, gaining invaluable skills in management, team building, and finance.
