Since beginning this position I have been able to accumulate experience in teaching within further education. I have also been fortunate to teach across multiple topics such as Criminology, Psychology, Law, Esports, Business and Personal Development. Towards the end of 2022, I also became the group tutor for Criminology & Law Level 2.

I currently teach Professional Policing on the DHEP program.

While employed at Birmingham City University I was able to teach across multiple subjects such as Criminology, Profesional Policing and Security Studies. Additionally, I thought across both seminars and workshops across numerous modules such as Criminological Theories, Introduction to Security Studies, Introduction to Policing, Forensic Science, Research Methods and Media and politics.

I have been working part-time at ASDA to support my studies. During this time, I have taken on numerous roles from warehouse, grocery and home shopping where I currently reside as a service crew/emergency delivery driver. Throughout COVID 19, I have helped support vulnerable people during the global pandemic while continuing with my active voluntary duties and university studies.From November 2020 until October 2021, I was utilised on the security department due to my prior skill. set.

While working for the University of Birmingham on a short-term research project, I was able to expand my knowledge, refine my skills in research methodology and gain experience working within a professional academic research team. This research focused on police youth interventions of current policing problems such as county lines and knife crime.

Joining the Special Constabulary has allowed me to apply what I have learned from university to a practical setting as well as helping improve in key areas of communication and teamwork, all while helping the community. Furthermore, I have also had the opportunity to police during a global pandemic regarding the role and powers used by the police. This has given me a unique perspective of these ongoing events.Some of the skills I have gained are as follows: -● Effectively communicating with the public and vulnerable people.● Team working skills to ensure efficiency and safety.● Vulnerability training.● First Aid training.● Cross skilling with multiple agencies to tackle issues in the area and attain the best results.
