Mr. Leonard is an experienced Information Technology and Software Engineering executive with a background in the Hi-Tech, Healthcare industries,Higher Education and non-profit social services. As the VP IT and Data Governance at Seven Hills Foundation Bob has led the restructuring of the IT organization after several years of lack of investment, re-establishing a customer first culture, investment, and implementation in critical technologies after creating a strategic plan to address a complete overhaul.Bob was recruited to the University of California, Irvine as the College of Health Sciences IT Director in an exciting new role developing, rationalizing and implementing IT services and strategies in collaboration with UCI's OIT and UCI's Medical Center IT organizations.Immediately prior Bob was at the University of Nevada Reno, School of Medicine as the Director IT, Medicine leading the IT staff supporting the School of Medicine, Division of Health Sciences and the statewide physician practice plan.Bob completed a contract for Ceiba Solutions at the UMASS Medical School reviewing and recommending solutions for a next generation data-layer and associated tools. This environment will utilize and support both clinical data, from the associated hospital system and physicians’ network, and research data from the medical school. As the CIO, for Harvard Clinical Research Institute, a collaborative Academic Research Organization of the Harvard Medical School and it's affiliated hospitals, and, as part of the executive team, Bob executed on long range business plans. Bob led the introduction of several technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization in the conduct of clinical trials by leveraging IT.He has been responsible for technology management on a global scale at Digital Equipment Corporation for the internal IT organization and was the joint creator and Program Manager of the corporate Information Security program.Mr. Leonard also has led the software engineering solutions and testing organizations for GTE’s (BBN) CyberTrust division, a PKI hardware and security software vendor following his time at DEC.Specialties: Executive and line level management of software engineering and IT resources.Corporate level business strategy and execution.
