As a Catchment Officer based in the Lithgow region, I have worked with organisations and landholders to develop projects to increase woodlands vegetation by funding new projects from the Australian Government's Caring For Our Country, Increasing Landscape Scale Conservation program in Blue Mountains Western Landscape.This program delivers funding to improve native vegetation conservation and management of threatened species and invasive plants and animals across multiple landowners.To deliver these projects I have ▪ Worked collaboratively across programs with other landscape staff.▪ Organised landholder workshops for woodland conservation planning.▪ Prepared Woodland Management Plans for participating landholders.▪ Responsible for project budgetAs a Landcare Support Officer I have provided support to the Capertee Valley community group and support development of a Coxs Valley community group by facilitating meetings, including:▪ Organising and hosting meetings and workshops▪ Arranging speakers▪ Taking and circulating minutes ▪ Chairing meetingsI have also been active in contributing to the development of the Catchment Action Plan and Program Evaluation Frameworks.While working in the Lithgow region I have developed operational skills in Remote Areas including 4WD and satellite communications.

My Role at Blacktown City Council included developing a strategy for the implementation of The Australian Government's Job Fund initiative. The strategy included job creation and development for skilled and unskilled job seekers including disadvantaged and Indigenous job seekers. On the chosen site at Whalan Reserve I supervised and trained Greencorps trainees, Blacktown City Council Trainees and volunteers.

Muru Mittigar Limited was created with the intention of promoting Aboriginal culture and providing employment opportunities to Aboriginal families in Western Sydney.My role at Muru Mittigar involves planning and implementing land management strategies. As part of my role, I seek out opportunities and extend business capabilities in Land Management and Bush Regeneration. This work has increased recognition of Muru Mittigar in the wider community and with various government organisations. To deliver works I have implemented an internal project management system and designed tools to support the use of this system, particularly in the areas of cost management and forward planning. Additionally, I am also required to supervise and train staff on the work site. As Projects Coordinator I was directly responsible for :▪ Contracts Management including quoting, tendering works, reports, and acquittals.▪ Coordination of provenance native nursery operations. ▪ Selecting and supervising suppliers and sub-contractors ▪ Ensuring all team members work effectively and safely within the guidelines of the Safety Management System. ▪ Delivering quality land management services to clients.▪ Effective communications with all levels of management, staff and clients.

My time at Total Earth Care was a diverse and challenging experience. I began in 2003 as a trainee bush regenerator and was quickly elevated to Site Supervisor.As a Site Supervisor I was directly responsible for :▪ Scope, tender, and quotation writing▪ Client liaison, I was a first point of contact from quotation to final delivery of a project.▪ Invoicing, billing and completion of progress works reports.▪ Project managing 27 separate projects both long and short term, for 14 separate clients within a 12 month period.▪ Selection and supervision of suppliers and sub-contractors to operate heavy machinery including, excavators, tractors and bobcats▪ Managing two teams of 6 staff (4 junior, 2 senior) including conducting performance reviews, and training development plans▪ Ensuring a safe work environment for staff as an active member of the OHS Committee.

As a shopfitter I was required to construct and install high quality shop and office fittings within tight deadlines. These would include architecturally designed furniture, shop counters and one off cabinetry. As a tradesman I was expected to work safely and effectively in teams of tradesmen and apprentices.
