I've been a working college student since I started my education path. I wish I could say it was an easy & fun road filled with typical college expectations, but it wasn't. To be honest, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way for the lessons I learned reminded me of the sacrifices I had to make to earn what I want. And the hardwork I did paid off in the end. I graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Communications & Computer Information Systems from Texas A&M University - San Antonio. I like to telll people I can talk to both man & machine. I also have an Associate's degree in Journalism from San Antonio College. It's a passion I've always wanted to pursue, and one day I hope to accomplish in becoming a reporter. During my studies, I had to work. I have about 10 years of customer service/retail experience. I've gotten recognized for my marketing skills. Earned Employee of the Month at multiple jobs.When not working, I'm usually volunteering. I volunteered at The Children's Shelter of San Antonio in 2020 and now for Learning Ally by writing scripts and reading audiobooks for visually impaired people. While in school, I wrote for both newspapers & magazines. Got second place for Best Picture Story at the 2017 Texas Interncollegiate Press Association competition in Dallas, TX for the Ranger newspaper at San Antonio College. At Texas A&M, I was awarded Best Public Speaker in my Public Relations class and interned at the Univision 41 - San Antonio news station. I assisted reporters and producers there and even created some of my own newscasts with my classmates' help. I was also the public relations officer for The Coalition advocacy group for 4 years. As you can see, I'm a hardworker. I know what it takes to achieve your goals and nothing that ever stood in my path slowed me down. I hope I can show my tenacity in the career I choose and for the company I start working for. They won't be disappointed.
