I have practiced as a barrister since 1971, except for a period between (1997 - 2000) when I acted as Director of Legal Aid WA. I have written articles in 'The Spectator' and 'Contemporary Review' Journals in England, while in Australia I have written 12 articles for the Australian Institute of Administrative law (AIAL Forum) Journal about Constitutional, Federal, Administrative and Migration issues. I also wrote as the Drovers Dog in "Brief" on three occasions in 2017.My practice is chiefly in the areas of Constitutional Employment, Contract, Corporate, Disciplinary and Migration law. I appeared as Counsel in the High Court case - Mitchell v The Queen (relating to a term of natural life imprisonment imposed) and in Chen Shi Hai v the Minister of Immigration (concerning refugee principles related to the Chinese 'One Child Policy').I was President of the WA Refugee Council and Vice President of the Women's Domestic Referral Centre WA.
