Developed and executed rigorous, cost saving strategies to realize approx. $330,000 annual savings. Provided direct mgmt, training and accountability for up to 18 techs and up to 65 vendors including the creation of contract specifications, price negotiation, compliance and recovery of all incorrect charges. Consolidated the vendor base by 2/3 to achieve consistent quality and leverage pricing across the region. Researched the base line spend, developed, implemented a multi-tiered floor care program including contracts, schedules and verification systems in 2008 resulting in a $475,000 first year annual labor savings against the $3 million 2007 base line floor care labor expense involving over 400 locations. Transformed floor care billing practices from “per service” to monthly billing resulting in a 75% reduction (approx. 14,000 invoices per year) in invoice submissions. The program has since been adopted and implemented across the chain largely intact. Provided significant participation to the expeditious recovery of retail locations in the aftermath of 2004 and 2005 hurricanes Rita, Charlie, Francis and Katrina. Provided field management of the Florida Emergency Response team efforts in Alabama to restore temporary power to 20 tornado stricken reatail locations in Birhmingham and Huntsville areas. Provided mobilization and field management of Emergency Response team efforts deployed across 9 states from South Carolina to Connecticut to restore temporary power to hurricane Irene stricken retail locations. Over all, Irene affected more than 430 stores involving 50 plus team members and numerous vendor partners that connected generators to 85 locations in 9 states. Show less
