The more than 35 years of experience in the global biopharmaceutical industry has given me executive leadership and senior management skills as well as a deep functional understanding of corporate and business development, alliance management, product development, sales/marketing, and finance. My therapeutic areas of expertise include pain management, anesthesia, dermatology, rheumatology, oncology, and critical care medicine. In 2017, I co-founded Permeatus, a specialty pharma company focused on new treatments for Raynaud's Disease. Additionally, I have been a consultant for numerous pharma companies including Recros Medica, Crescita Therapeutics, Nuvo Research, Tapemark, Atterx, and Myoscience. These consulting activities included strategic planning, business development, corporate partnering, M&A/licensing, fund raising, valuation/financial analysis, and product development. Previously, I served as President, Chief Executive Officer at ZARS Pharma, a Salt Lake City based aesthetics and pain management company. As CEO, I oversaw two NDA submissions/approvals, filing of six INDs, closed over $30 MM in private funding from venture capital, and signed partnering deals that generated over $90 MM in milestone payments. One of the transaction that I was responsible for led to sale of ZARS Pharma to Nuvo Research.My career began at Ohmeda (acquired by Baxter) where I worked in the finance, sales, marketing, and business development departments. Later, I held several senior management positions including CEO of Procertus BioPharm, and Sr. Vice President at Medeva PLC (acquired by Celltech/UCB). In addition, I have also served on the Board of Directors of several life science/pharma companies including ZARS Pharma, ProCertus BioPharm, Permeatus, Kuda Therapeutics, and Tapemark.
