Emergency Medical Technician
Current• Provided immediate medical aid to victims of accidents and critical illnesses, while quickly and accurately determining the nature of illnesses or mechanism of injury, transport victims to proper medical facilities based off those findings. While adhering to safety and Personal Protective Equipment guidelines • Assessed a broad range of vital signs such as: bowel sounds, lung sounds, pupil dilatation, pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, in addition to assisting paramedic in obtaining glucose levels and 3 lead- 12 lead EKG readings • Performed life-saving measures when needed, such as C.P.R, bleeding control, administration of oxygen, and application of splints• Performed inter-facility transport of patients on board both van and box ambulances
