River Snorkelling guide leading groups of 12 through the freshwater Mossman river on an adventure to explore the wildlife of the oldest rainforest in the world: Daintree Rainforest.We go through the rainforest and learn about the unique key plants of the region, on our way into this freshwater beautiful river where we snorkel up close and in the natural habitat of many rainforest fish. We also use River-rafts to ride down the rapids for an incredible adventure and unique experience through the rainforest.My role includes: - Learning about, and presenting guest’s information about the wildlife along the tour- Being a river guide, I must ensure the safety of every guest which involves hazardous moving water scenarios- Professional preparation and cleanup of gear for an exceptional experience - Take lots of candid and group pictures

As a storyteller for WindsorEats, I've gotten a chance to learn all about being a Food & Drinks Tour Guide. I've had the pleasure of leading the 3 different tours so far. For details on each tour check the guiding experience for the Wine Trail Ride, D-Tour, and Drinks of Walkerville. I've been the leader of large groups of up to 40 people on tours. Running the tours completely on my own. ​As the owner has said "Our Guides Make The Tours" so this is a big responsibility I embrace fully! While guiding here, I've learned loads about how to be a conversation leader; starting and keeping engaging, fun conversations, while also keeping us on schedule. One of the biggest skills I've learned through this is: how to meet the guests the day of, get to know them, and continually chat and joke with everyone to make it feel like I am a friend and a part of the experience alongside the guests.I've loved working for WindsorEats! It's improved me tremendously as a guide and matured me as a person. Now, I aim to bring these skills to the next opportunity and continue to refine and learn new skills to improve.

A new experience for me that I brought my guiding and wine tour experience together to excel as a very personable, entertaining host & server. I am in charge of all sales, and tastings for the guests. I'm trusted alone to run the wineries retail as the winemaker/owner is busy and possibly away. I take on the responsibility of educating, and giving the guests a comfortable and fun experience visiting Vivace.This has challenged me to learn about the hospitality world for wineries. Providing food and pouring drinks for many large and small groups. While learning more about the tasting of wine and the terminology associated with the many different types of wine. This has been a very enjoyable educational experience.

As a lifeguard, safety is a top concern. Making sure everyone is having a great experience is involved as well. Whether it be guarding the Adventure Bay Waterpark, or teaching swim lessons in the WIATC, making sure everyone is safe and having fun is a priority. My Role Includes: ⬥ Maintain swimmer safety at over 10 different City of Windsor pools⬥ Maintain many qualifications and standards in Canada’s Lifesaving Society⬥ Teach basic and advanced skills of swimming to children and adults ⬥ Perform first aid and CPR when required in emergency situations

As the lead tour guide for River Canard Canoe Co., I've led tours such as the: Sunset tour, Ghost Tour, & Moonfloat tour. This involves Storytelling and Public Speaking for groups of up to 40 people across multiple watercrafts. I'm the main entertainer, greeter, and conversationalist, keeping the entire experience enjoyable for each guest and providing exceptional and comfortable service. Stories on the many tours have included information on local wildlife and the significance of the area, as well as the important history and tales along River Canard. As well as mystery and folklore stories for the Ghost and Moonfloat Tours.This has challenged me to level up my storytelling and public speaking skill to share many stories in an engaging, informational, and entertaining way.

As a guide at Off Road NZ, I lead tours for large corporate groups, busloads of foreign travellers, and small family/friend groups. I lead 4-wheel-drive Bush Safaris through our track that leads through 100+ acres of forest, I was race control & marshal for the Raceline Karting (OffRoad NZ has the 3rd best karting track in the world), and I was the head Archery guide. With these tours, much responsibility was necessary for our team in doing many hours of maintenance, setup, and safety checks for each tour and the vehicles. Most importantly, providing a friendly, and exciting adventure experience for the guests was essential!An example of a day at Off Road NZ:Arrive at the facility and get my tasks for getting everything ready. Tour times for the day (not including walk-ins) were given out so we can prepare. Each day included setup for either the karting, safaris or the monster truck experience. This includes full safety checks, cleaning the vehicles, and putting them in their positions for the day. When I didn't have any tour to lead, I would trim the safari course ferns, clean up around the facility, or fill crash bags around the track. There was always something to be done. Every day was different at Off Road NZ and I found this to be a great experience!

The Little School is an English school in France. One day, my aunt Susan (who is the school owner and teacher), allowed me the opportunity to join as a leader for a trip she organizes for her students to visit and learn English in an English-speaking country.In July 2017 the trip was over to Scotland, and it was a 10-day experience for 40 French students of ages 7-16. For many, it was their first time away from home so at many times I had the challenge and the pleasure of comforting the kids during such a long trip. The 2018 trip was to the United Kingdom, and it also had 40 students like the first trip.I was alongside 3 other councilors, and we were in charge of making sure the group made it through airports and customs safely and smoothly. While in the destination countries, we stayed at an English summer camp, where the students had 1/2 the day learning English in a classroom, and the other 1/2 was spent doing full/half-day excursions, participating in outdoor activities, or playing games. My role was to make sure the students were having fun, being safe, and that they spoke English throughout the day (which was funny because I only speak English). I also was in charge of taking photos and posting them to the website we had (not available anymore).I am forever grateful for this opportunity that introduced me to guiding and working abroad. This was an eye-opener to the reward of how doing a good job makes many people happy.
