Armed Forces Engagement Officer
CurrentI have been with British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) for nearly 10 years, a lot of that time was spent on the road meeting with those that assist the Armed Forces Community (AFC) with their transition from military to civilian life. Now my time is spent in the office speaking with the service leavers, veterans, reservists and family members discussing the services BFRS provide, and how they can make best use of the events and their individual profiles on the BFRS website. Having served myself for 18 years prior to my medical discharge in 2012, I can understand the difficulties that many will go through during their resettlement/transition. My passion is helping others, if I don't know the answers I will try my hardest to find the answers. I have also visited Prisons and provided advice and assistance to the Veterans in Custody, and in many locations met with Homeless Veterans that need the support to get them back on their feet and feeling valued again.
