Camellia Basic Elementary

During my current tenure at Camellia Basic Elementary, I have been PTA rep and have been in charge of all fundraising and finance for my intermediate team via Associated Student Body. I have been a trainer or teacher coach for Common Core implementation, including ELA, math, U.C. Davis Area 3 Writing Program, Infinite Campus, Illuminate, and Mac Book/iPad technology integration. I have recently been GATE certified, and have been involved in the APTT (Academic Parent Teacher Team) and Home visit program, which bridges the gap between school and community.

James W. Marshall Elementary

As the head teacher in the sixth grade, besides my regular duties as a teacher, I was responsible for training/mentoring new 6th grade teachers. I planned and implemented all 6th grade activities, including field trips, 6th graders vs. teachers baseball games, Sly Park trip, and promotion, in addition to other school-wide activities such as Field Day and Spelling Bee. I have held positions on Leadership, PTG/PTA, and the Site Improvement Plan committee. I have been the technology coordinator and done several teacher trainings, as well as experience writing grants and collaborating with business and community leaders.
