In my role as the Senior Category Manager, I lead the strategic development and end-to-end statewide collective procurement strategy and roadmap for the Medical and Industrial gases and Electricity categories for VIC public hospitals with an estimated annual expenditure of $40m. Part of this role is to continually support the Indirect Products and Services Head of Sourcing, by delivering on the organisational FY targets and developing greenfield business case proposals for internal approval.

In this position I successfully managed critical statewide pharmaceutical supply situations alongside the Head of Supply Chain Surety by developing and executing mitigation strategies across a complex healthcare network. This included successfully facilitating major cross-agency communication and collaboration between Directors of Pharmacy, suppliers (ARTG, S19 and SAS), wholesalers and national regulatory bodies (e.g. Department of Health, SCV, TGA and PBS) to achieve innovative and workable solutions.

Successfully managed the category’s SRM, CRM and contract management strategies covering 34 suppliers, 22 Directors of Pharmacy, a statewide pharmaceutical purchasing database and commercial opportunity mapping based on market research.
