Alongside my university studies I have held a role in a local bakery. Here I have tended to customers, developing my interpersonal skills, as well as producing premium baked goods. I have also taken on some responsibilities for training and rostering, which have built on my organisational and planning skills.

I was responsible for the care of 22 students on my floor, using mental health first aid and other training to support these students through their university year. This included resolving conflict, giving personal advice and providing university tips. I was also responsible for delivering the students voice and perspective to college administration. In this time I was also a fire officer for the residential college.

With a team of twenty-two I helped coordinate a week of orientation for the oncoming students at Union College. Employing team-working and communication skills to smoothly transition 180 students into university life. In this time I also undertook numerous training activities to elevate my skills including mental health first aid and CPR training.

Over my university break I worked in McDonalds, Currimundi which is one of Australia's best performing franchises. I worked in the customer facing area which is under constant time pressure. In this environment I refined my communication and team-working skills to maintain the punctual processes that McDonald's uphold.

Here I utilised my team working skills which helped foster sales relationships with potential customers for wholesaling plantation shutters throughout Southern England allowing me to exercise my interpersonal skills.

My role included coordinating the demands of customers, the production team and office administration to deliver personalised, high-quality results.

In my first working experience I was able to develop a strong customer focus, evolving my team-working and communication skills in a fast paced environment.

Worked across the business in several departments including Multi Asset, Fixed Income and Finance. Undertook a research project for an Investment Manager exploring the viability of investing in the Indian fixed income market.
