Typically, my duties with the Planning, Research, and Accreditation (PRA) department include creating data extracts for internal and external research, carrying out data analysis, and otherwise assisting with the duties of the PRA department.

While working towards my Ph.D. in Criminology & Criminal Justice, I also teach and carry out research for the School of Criminology & Criminal Justice. Research projects have included exploring the needs of the elderly in prison, studying the lived experiences of sex offender registration through interviews with registered sex offenders and their families throughout Nebraska, and continuing program evaluation for a local substance abuse prevention grant. Additionally, prior to my current internship with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, I taught for six semesters in this department, including Juvenile Delinquency & Justice, Criminal Justice Ethics, Issues in Capital Punishment, and Criminology.

A summer job in which I managed Peters Hall on the Radford University campus. Duties included supervising student workers, opening/closing the building, and working with conference services to accommodate organization meeting in Peters Hall.

I taught several sections of Introductory Psychology. Duties included preparing lecture, creating and administering exams, and evaluating students throughout course.

I assisted professors in teaching Research Methods I and II. I instructed the lab portion of the course, helped with grading, and answered student questions.

I supervised the operations of the boys' dorm of the Older Adolescent Program at a residential treatment facility for children. I served as a liason between the program staff and the clinical team. I also continued to work as a residential counselor 3 days during the week.

Work with residents in the Older Adolescent Program in completing treatment goals at a residential treatment center for children. Included advocating for residents to the program administration.
