Batch Processes facility comprising a Catalyst preparation plant (Fe- and Co-LTFT), cold filtration model rigs & fluidised bed reactors.o Team leader for a group of 6 individuals.o Established a bridging plan to integrate facilities into Support Services area & implemented measures to align the area with industry standards & ensure PSM/OSHA compliance.o Co-ordination of activities (manpower, equipment availability, schedules, roadmaps, safety audits).o Improved operational stability of old (20+ years old) equipment, reducing break-downs by an effective maintenance strategy (prioritisation for shutdowns, critical and opportunity maintenance & modification lists), increased the productivity and competency of the team, and adherence to permit-to-work (PtW). - Positions:o (1) Rotation: Process engineer for de-mothballing & commissioning of a pilot-plant GTL reactor located in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the USA (May 2009-February 2010).o (2) SA: Engineering & process representative for the design and construction of a multi-purpose fluidised bed catalyst preparation reactor (March 2010-March 2011).- Responsibilities included:- Tulsa Pilot Plant (TPP): 10 month secondment to a satellite research facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA o Part of the core team providing engineering and commissioning support for de-mothballing the 1 bbl/day pilot-plant GTL facility (Co-LTFT) and performing subsequent baseline catalyst performance runs.o Technical lead responsible for re-purposing of a syngas membrane unit (design, install, commission).o Piloting engineer accountable for overall data integrity during FT reactor commissioning run (35 days) and catalyst performance run on the GTL reactor (120 days online), which included KPI tools development, catalyst and sample logistics, shipping, database management- 6-inch fluidised bed reactor for pilot-scale Co-LTFT catalyst preparation and detailed fluidisation studies:- Process engineer & client representative during design, construction and commissioning of the piloting unit.o My responsibilities included aspects from the concept phase, preparation of detailed mass & energy balances, design reviews/Hazops, 3D reviews, design of a slurry unloading vessel, and responsibility for “technical soundness” of unit to support research objects.o Development and execution of commissioning plans to ensure all components of the system met the original design intent, and sign-off of the unit as fit-for-purpose.
