Managing the daily output of c.170 employees. The role requires: devising, implementing & overseeing bespoke strategies to realise organisational aims; fostering an ethos of continuous improvement; and managing the unit's financial, logistics and HR portfolios. Associated responsibilities include liaison with stakeholders representing the Royal Estate, the Metropolitan Police & Police Scotland to deliver RAF ceremonial success across headline coronation events & broader security duties.

Designed, coordinated and managed concurrent Counter-Terrorism (CT) programmes in Africa and SE Asia that delivered capacity building to prioritised UK partners. Responsibilities included: improving UK Government access via c-suite stakeholder management and leveraging project success; outcome evaluation, driven by data analysis, vice national strategic objectives; cross-government liaison to understand, & subsequently develop, regulatory legal frameworks to provide enhanced employee protection. Influenced senior stakeholders to initiate a change programme across multiple projects following a 2-year innovation hiatus. Result; strategic project management model introduced, based on operational analysis & data evaluation, to ensure improved allocation of c. £2m p.a. budget.

Incident response lead of a bespoke team deployed overseas in an austere location. Multifaceted specialist outputs required, concurrent to management oversight of c.15 employees. Conducted a physical security review encompassing a Critical National Infrastructure assessment to inform C-Suite UK stakeholders of unsighted risk to strategic military assets. Reviewed, and overhauled, pre-existing incident response strategies. The outcome strengthened operational resilience, providing executive decision-making capacity to enable time-sensitive action when the risk calculus rapidly changed. Planned, rehearsed & coordinated the crisis management response that evacuated the team from a hostile environment during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Managed a specialised team of c.30 employees, integrating its technical expertise within a generalist stakeholder community as a specialist advisor. Conceived, composed and codified operating principles, which were adopted by the organisation (c.1,200 employees); advising senior stakeholders on the capability's employment and subsequently achieving a 20% resource uplift. Concurrently devised, refined & managed overseas deployments of c.40 people, providing Critical National Infrastructure training and security to a UK ally in a hostile environment.

Managed c.30 multidisciplinary employees within the UK Defence’s Specialist Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear (CBRN) unit, prior to selection as the Operations Manager for the broader Defence capability (c.180 people). Conducted operational planning, multi-agency liaison and mission execution, in conjunction with a diverse range of UK and international partners. Concurrently held readiness as a qualified Bronze Commander, ready to respond to CBRN crises. The latter responsibility witnessed my activation as the initial Officer to lead a multi-disciplinary team in Salisbury against the UK's first national CBRN incident in over a decade.

The role supported the PR and public affairs agency with the provision of media and government relations to companies primarily within the defence, aerospace and security sectors. Responsibilities included: copywriting and market analysis; development of client proposals; network development and broader relationship building amongst industry stakeholders.
