Capacity building agricultural value chains, disseminating market information, estimating market demand, enabling business plan development, linking beneficiaries to financial services, providing technical and business extension for beneficiaries under Smallholder Market-Led Project.

My main responsibilities include to increase knowledge base of smallholder farmers on the application of good agricultural practices in vegetables production, ensure that farmers are contracted to sustainable markets , mentor them to ensure that they meet their contractual obligations, facilitate flow of marketing information and routinely check if farmers have received their payments.

Provide overall field technical leadership and management of horticultural activities in the all IRD supported activities. Development of cropping plans parallel to the marketing contract from NAMBoard and update production information between NAMBoard and IRD supported farmers.

Coordinate the implementation of the SWADE Agribusiness Diversification Strategy within LUSIP. Facilitate the development of robust business plans for Farmer Companies that will venture into field and horticultural crops by incorporating best farming practices.
