My career goal is to try and make a difference to the lives of people helping them to lead healthier lives and improving their life situation. This passion comes from a desire to tackle inequality and ensure people have the chance to change their life circumstance. I believe cycling can play a role in that but recognise that success needs to be part of a holistic approach and thanks to this new role at British Cycling I am learning much more about how I can work with other services and providers. My professional experience is with British Cycling developing and supporting volunteer programmes to help volunteers create a better environment for people to have a safe, fun and challenging cycling experience. Based at the headquarters in Manchester I have written and delivered volunteer training courses in addition to assessing portfolios of clubs and volunteers. More recently British Cycling are developing me as a programme design lead for diversity broadening my skillset and horizons w.r.t how I can achieve my career goals. Specialties: Inclusive activity for young people and those with disabilities. I tutor, deliver and design new products and programmes to help people get more active building on previous operational experience supporting a team of people to generate funding for projects and delvier programmes across the UK.
