My expertise in the creation and dissemination of instructional design reflects my passion for higher learning. The experiential knowledge that I have garnered in the past 17 years as an educational instructor have provided me with a set of transferable skills that are absolutely invaluable to foster success in any work environment. My ability to critically engage with curriculum and policy has led to sustained student academic achievement. My supervisory role as an Assistant Curricular Leader has taught me how collaboration, communication, teamwork and the sharing of best practice can lead to staggeringly brilliant and innovative results. My work in the interdisciplinary subject of English has nurtured my imagination of how to best interweave personal narratives into the fabric of every course to ensure that equity, diversity and inclusivity is at the forefront of every lesson. In the course of this trajectory, I have learned how to integrate the intersectionality of indigenous, postcolonial, LGBTQ2S+ and or, newcomer voices to promote and advocate for subjective empowerment. My involvement in devising and developing Literacy resources and materials to inspire the foundations of reading and writing was only possible when taking into consideration this reality that student learning is not only differentiated but more importantly, must reflect their own indigenization. My ability to pedagogically aid the underserved student demographic was further enhanced by the media platforms that produced a hybridized and online platform that effortlessly supported the needs of every digital native. My insight to understanding the value of change and my efforts to innovate has motivated me to challenge myself to build on my leadership potential and to forever stay curious as to how my academic, professional and volunteer experience can best be put to work for the greater good.
