I have been a proud member of the Liberal Party since early 2000. I originally joined the Victorian Division and upon moving to Western Australia joined the Western Australian Division.

The Vines

The objectives of the Vines Residents Association are to represent the members in matters relating:- to the planning, development , maintenance and general amenity of The Vines and- to promote, preserve and protect the character and environment of The VinesSince that time The Vines has grown significantly and with that growth came a wide range of issues related to the expansion of the Golf Resort, the increase in the density and volume of properties built within The Vines, the road interconnections within The Vines and between The Vines and adjacent Suburbs and the increase in traffic on all our roads. These developments have also put serious pressures on the environment in which we live, the indigenous flora that surrounds us and the indigenous fauna that lives within it.Over the past 20 years the members of the various Association Management Committees have had a wide range of issues to attend to, to ensure that the Association has met its obligations as detailed in the Objectives of the Association as listed above. We have had successes and failures but at all times the Association has striven to ensure that the views of members have been clearly presented to whichever external agency has needed to be informed; e.g. the City of Swan Officers, City of Swan Councillors, the State Government Ministers, various State Government Departments, the Police, Resident Associations in other Suburbs, local Developers, House Builders, The Vines Resort, etc. We currently have very good relationships with personal in all of these organisations and are able to call upon help and assistance on a wide range of issues and concerns as and when they occur.The Association has also been actively involved in holding various social events for residents around activities such as our Christmas Carols in the Park, Clean-up Australia Days, Fashion shows, Quiz nights, Art & Craft Exhibition/Cocktail Party, Bike in The Valley & Social BBQ events.

Auvex Resources Limited established itself as a successful miner and exporter of manganese ore and associated minerals for the steel making industry. Ant Hill and Sunday Hill were two established projects and are being advanced to an operational status quickly as they already have mining leases. Horseshoe Range and Mt Padbury two exciting exploration areas. Auvex has leases in the Northern Territory with outcropping manganese to be explored in the medium to long term. Waldburg Range with outcropping manganese to be explored in the medium to long term. It is Auvex’s intention to begin mining and processing from Ant Hill and Sunday Hill at the rate of 215,000 tonnes per annum. Subject to receiving further berthing access in Port Hedland, this will increase to 500,000 tonnes per annum.
