Drive Engineered changes to improve productivity hours/gross margin objectives. Participate with Product focus Groups to help make improvements on our product line.Ensure all planning is robust, Bill of Materials are correct, CNC programs will produce conforming product, and Tooling and Engineering releases support the program needs and dates to achieve on time deliveries.Provide mentoring and cross training to individuals within our group. Coach my peers in our Mexicali facilities' Engineering Group to make them totally self reliant by working with them to be self sufficient; we have been successful to the point that they are now releasing and controlling their own planning, documentation and specifications.As Chief Manufacturing and Quality Engineer, I am also responsible to oversee that the entire Engineering teams needs are met by interacting with all cause and corrective action meetings to help eliminate and or reduce possible errors in the product lines.

Worked to reduce the MRB inventory and removed defects in the product line that would have been placed into MRB as a result. Developed a certified operator program where the employee manufacturing the product was held accoutable to be his/her own inspector, eliminating the need to sort product at final inspection, resulting in operations producing a quality product at a much higher rate. As a result, large profits were made and every employee in the company received a 15% bonus, which made the head lines of the local newspapers. This was during a time when most of the economy was facing reductions in work forces or freeze in pay hikes. This made people want to work for our company and those that already worked there were proud to say where they worked.

Transitioned from a Tool and Die maker (Class-A Machinist) into the quality department where I became the only inspector for the entire company covering 100 employees. During this time I restructured the entire documentation control for certification and shipping to reduce the lead times from 8 hours down to 20 minutes for certifying and shipping product.
