(CSI) in 1996 to focus on Codes, Sustainability and Investigations that result in better buildings. As a Senior Building Envelope Engineer, Bob has over 4 decades of experience as a specialist in Building Science, Sustainability, and design of new and retrofit durable, energy efficient & dynamic energy producing building envelopes for all types of buildings. Bob develops client relationships and provides CODE/ISO sustainability and LEED Building Science Engineering Services. As an innovator, he has worked on over 50 LEED-accredited projects and is the co-author of the Durable Building credit. Bob is also responsible for providing exceptional engineering on complex green projects including Public-Private Partnerships (P3) and Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB). Bob understands litigation investigations, Codes and Standards. He was retained by the BC Ministry of the Attorney General as an expert on the $1.5B Leaky Condominium Class Action suit, supplying affidavit documents, key photographs and expert testimony on building envelope solutions, ultimately contributing to the Supreme Court’s decision to dismiss the charges. He was appointed to NRC’ Task Group on Energy Use Intensity Targets for the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB). He is appointed by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as Canadian expert for ISO TC 163 SC2/WG 4 on Holistic Energy Performance and Building Certification. As Canadian voting Chair of ISO TC 163 SC2 on Thermal Performance of the Built Environment, he advocates for ZEB with innovative systems including high performance insulation and solar E-power clear game changing glazing.
