I am a qualified trainer specialising in training officers in the acquisition and use of Communications Data in serious and complex investigations. I also train officers how to properly use i2 Analyst Notebook and iBase to support their operational role. I also train analysts how to operate in the modern Internet age where an understanding of the Internet enables them to make best use of all the data available to them.

I undertake complex analysis of serious cyber crime. I'm experienced in analysing a range of data sets and have developed and utilised a bespoke iBase database to store and data from these investigations. I am also a qualified trainer and have provided training on the use of communications data in investigation and how to use IBM i2 software to support investigations. I also train intelligence fundamentals.

Skilled in the analysis of complex cyber criminality including phishing, banking fraud enabled by malware, coordinated DDoS attacks and large scale data breaches. I use different data sets to understand the scale of the criminality involved and to identify potential avenues of inquiry for investigators, primarily seeking subjects within the inquiry whose disruption would have a maximum impact. I also produce reports that help understand the strategic picture in regards to the threat posed by Cyber crime to the UK.

Collate and analysis information to develop an understanding of criminal activity. This could involve studying trends of activity or understanding the relationships between subjects. From this I produced recommendations to senior officers to enable them to make correct tactical or strategic decisions. I worked in a range of different areas of the MPS producing products that enabled complex criminal groups to be disrupted and often leading to arrests and convictions.
