2017 to presentMy name is Robert Martinez. I'm a program manager within today's Supply Chains. I've lived a magical life. For more than half a century, I have been honing my supply chain skills, no matter the medium is.In 2017 I was reluctant to seek medical attention at first. Eventually, I was convinced to undergo formal treatment for my diagnosed throat cancer which led to multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, as well as surgery, the procedures allowed Robert to fully recover from his throat cancer diagnosis and seemingly enter remission.

Global Operations Product/Planning ManagementIn this position I oversaw worldwide demand and supply planning, including NPI launches, as the operations business grew in sales from $100M to $1.05B. I managed WW FG inventories to meet customer service level fulfillment requirements, master scheduled over 500 different product configurations, and ensured the MPS load met available capacity.Additionally, I oversaw MRP data management and validation for planning and procurement purposes, introduced NPI products for worldwide markets and distribution, and ensured compliance under FDA/GMP during the transfer process to off-shore and outsourced manufacturing facilities.The role involved extensive engagement with the Forecasting, Marketing and Sales teams, and we effectively streamlined demand and supply planning, and reduced the internal planning cycle time from 72 hours to 24 hours or less.

Supply Planning Program ManagementAs a Supply Planning Manager I enhanced demand forecasting and inventory supply management for global R&D and NPI product launches. I directed cross-functional teams in identifying and developing processes aimed at maximizing efficiency, converted approved forecasts into production plans, leveraged demand supply requirements, and negotiated manufacturing capacities with off-shore facilities.In addition, I automated the clear to build model, and managed NPI supply at an offshore manufacturing site to facilitate a 27% increase in sales growth quarter-over-quarter. I also slashed the material budget for NPI scrap costs from over $750K to under $1K at the end of ramp down transition, which improved production performance metrics. I provided clear visibility to enhance the ECO change process and reduced the return rate from 5% to 0.5%
