The board provides culturally responsive strategic leadership and direction to the school. It is accountable for the performance of the school, with a key focus on the improvement of student progress and achievement. The board's accountability also includes legislative compliance, finance, property, health, safety and wellbeing, personnel and industrial relations.Key activities include:- Setting the school's strategic plan and objectives; and reviewing performance against them.- Establishing policies and providing governance and oversight of the management of the school.

Lead a portfolio that enables improved performance and risk management across Babcock New Zealand. My role's primary focus is to design and implement business, process and technology solutions by determining functional business requirements aligned to the New Zealand strategy, enabled through business analysis, process consistency, best practice sharing, continual improvement and decision support. I engage with corporate centres of expertise to align and drive associated value into the business, utilising communication and integration with internal and external stakeholder groups to ensure outcomes are delivered and benefits realised.

Part of Babcock's Leadership Team. Lead the Quality & Improvement Team to drive an organisation-wide improvement culture through the establishment of a Lean Six Sigma CI programme, develop and maintain a smart Business Management System that differentiates us from our competitors in the way we do things. We call it "Our Way." Maintain ISO 9001 certification & manage the corporate risk framework to ensure compliance with both corporate and customer requirements. Undertake business analysis to improve or develop processes and tools. Deliver training packages that maximise understanding and engagement with Quality and Improvement systems.

Measure & report to the Executive Leadership Team on the effectiveness of the Quality Management system, lead & facilitate corporate, regional & local improvement initiatives. Ensure continued ISO 9001 accreditation. Train, mentor, advise on effective project execution processes.

Reporting to the General & Operations Managers, manage project quality, including establishing systems; oversight of document control & QA/QC delivery; & close-out. Provide subject matter expertise & guidance to project management and QA personnel. Develop plans, methodologies and presentations for bids and proposals. Provide input into contract claims. Manage the company’s drafting resource. Engage and manage external inspectors and engineers - and associated budgets.

Manage the site Quality Team ensuring timely and complete Project QA/QC close-out and supplier & subcontractor Quality delivery. Develop ITPs for construction & commissioning activities. Investigate and close-out project non-conformances. Interface with project management and the client in the planning of quality & commissioning activities. Report on project QA/QC performance to management as well as the client.

Monitor project & function performance through audit; reporting results to senior management. Develop quality deliverables including quality management plans, at tender and post project award. Engage with stakeholders to expedite project QA/QC delivery. Select, brief & mobilise 3rd Party QC Inspectors. Review and approve subcontractor QA deliverables against proeject criteria. Manage the supplier & subcontractor onboarding process.

Develop and execute a business-wide audit schedule in accordance with corporate guidelines. Assist the QA & Systems Manager in the maintenance of the QMS. Manage the company’s Non-conformance system. Provide training and support to project QA personnel.

Manage the company’s quality management system and statutory permits and licences, liaising with regulatory bodies to facilitate renewals and amendments as required. Perform training needs analyses and develop and deliver programs to address identified gaps. Support the HSE resource.

Assist the HSE Manager in maintaining the Safety Management System and drive a culture of safety. Conduct risk assessments and hazard and incident investigations. Manage the company’s Corrective Action Request System. Perform safety audits and inspections. Conduct new starter and contractor inductions.

Develop and execute an internal audit schedule. Manage the document control system. Review and update test method procedures. Investigate hazard and incident reports, and corrective action requests. Provide training to new and existing technicians.

Perform a variety of metallurgical tests, maintain a strong focus on safety and quality. Perform equipment calibration and maintenance.
