I have spent just over 7 years in the Waterworks Industry. I started out as a part of Core & Mains Management Trainee Program but am now working as a full time estimator. I went to school for Supply Chain Management at the University of Kansas. This meant learning all that I could about logistics, procurement, and warehousing. The industry I am in now is very interesting and I have learned a lot. I really enjoy the estimating and slowly getting into more Operations level tasks. There is a certain satisfaction when working with civil engineers and contractors to help build the foundation of a functioning society.I have done my best to retain as much knowledge as I come to the end of my two year trainee program. I also completed my MBA in May of 2021 through the University of Arizona. Since then I have found a new opportunity in the same industry with Ferguson Waterworks doing both line work and light mechanical estimating.
