Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:1. Operations: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operation and activities of the organization.2. Strategic Planning: Overall leadership in development and implementation of short and long range plans. 3. Personnel: Create a collaborative and positive workplace environment that attracts and retains, and motivates a diverse staff and quality volunteers; supervise and manage a small paid staff ; recruit, develop, and maintain the best talent for the organization.4. Fiscal and Legal Management: Financial management of corporation, including development and implementation of budget, payment of bills, and work with bookkeeper to maintain financial records, oversee office; overseeing the submitting of annual tax forms and comply with all reporting requirements at the province, federal, and local levels. Operate with a sound understanding of the legal issues governing the organization.5. Organizational Relations/Communications: Collaborate with area businesses and government agencies that could assist in the organizations goals and activities. Act as the voice of the organization in the extended community and among our partners. Foster relationships with stakeholders, including city, province, and federal agencies, funders and potential funders, and partner organizations and agencies.
