November Project is a free fitness movement which started in Boston, and has spread to 43 cities around the world with thousands of members. The New York City tribe hosts 3 workouts per week at 6:28 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. My Co-leaders (3 total) and I were selected by the founders and took over in March. As a Co-leader I am responsible for tasks such as:-Designing, planning, and coordinating a workout for 50-200 members. Workouts must be able to be scaled to the ability of each participant, and use only body weight exercises and the infrastructure available in the workout location.- Plan and Coordinate with local and national businesses and organizations, such as The North Face and Coney Island Brewing, to host and sponsor social events and runs.- Manage social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, and blog accounts.- Provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to any person who shows up to work out with our group on any given given morning. - Collaborate and coordinate with other Co-leaders from 42 other cities to improve attendees experiences. These tasks include, but are not limited to:- Design structural components such as piles, beams, slabs, sea-walls, flood protection, railings, armor stone revetments, and bulkheads.- Drafted environmental waterfront permits for approval by agencies such as the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. - Organize construction logs, review construction plans, and approve/comment on contractor's submittals as the lead contact during Construction Administration jobs.- Generate construction cost estimates based on scope of repair and estimated time of construction.- Prepared responses for requests for proposals. - Plan, organize, and lead inspections with underwater dive crews.
