I started with the Student Loans Company back in 2008. In that time, I've worked across a variety of business areas before finally finding my vocation in the Counter Fraud Services in 2013. Starting as a Fraud Investigator, my hard work quickly paid off and I was promoted to a role within the department's management team as 2nd Tier Review Officer. Within a year I was undertaking 2 roles within the department. That of 2nd Tier Review Officer and also Fraud Sanctions Officer. As the team grew, I was offered the opportunity to take the position of Sanctions Officer on full time.Since then, I have worked hard to develop the role into an integral part of the companies counter fraud function. I am actively involved in creating/managing SLC's fraud sanctions regime, along with the associated decision making processes.I also act as the company's single point of contact for Police and other law enforcement agencies, working closely with them to pursue prosecution for serious/high value fraud cases.
