As a Software Developer / Researcher / Portfolio Manager, I am responsible for developing and deploying event driven, real-time software for trading infrastructure running and supporting equity Statistical Arbitrage long / short group with AUM up to $500M. I work with the team to gather requirements, understand priorities, research solutions, and develop solutions that support the goals and objectives. In my role, I also analyze, review, and enhance existing software to improve efficiency and adapt to new requirements while developing business processes and defining system interactions. I work with the team to translate requirements into business-critical software solutions. Development is done in C and C++ on CentOS and Red Hat systems. I am also responsible for co-management of the Statistical Arbitrage book.◆ Real-Time Price feeds: Multi-threaded, low-latency real-time price feed in C++ on top of the Reuters/ RFA/Refinitive API. Provided real-time equity pricing information to independent trading applications via TCP/IP sockets. Used Bloomberg BPIPE API to build similar backup price feed. Monitored feeds against each other and identified issues with either feed.◆ Order Match System: Programmed real-time order match system in C that provided compliance and risk limit checks for all order flow. System was used in production and as a loop-back simulator to test new trading applications.◆ Trading applications: Developed event-driven trading applications in C that generated BUY/SELL orders based on encoded algorithm. Fail-safe mechanisms were built-in to prevent the application from making trading errors. Applications were created to be stateful so could recover after being shut down or would not malfunction due to equipment failure.◆ Simulation generator/scheduler: This software was written in bash and C to generate and schedule simulations that ran on multi-core Linux systems for stock selection.
