- Acting in the prominent multi-billion dollar banking and finance class action launched against the Royal Bank of Scotland (http://www.rbosaction.org/). - Working in a team of lawyers undertaking a range of general litigation tasks including the drafting of correspondence and memoranda, and attendances in conference with counsel, experts, and the RBS litigation team, in order to provide general assistance in the ongoing conduct of the matter.

Working in the dispute resolution department (commercial litigation / banking and finance)

- General commercial litigation matters across all Victorian Courts and the Federal Court (for example, acting for a multi-national company based in Scotland UK in urgent injunctive proceedings launched in the Federal Court against the company’s local ex-distributor - the case involved trade mark infringements, passing off, misleading and deceptive conduct etc);- Company and shareholder disputes (i.e. breach of fiduciary and directors’ duties cases and oppressive conduct proceedings in the Supreme Court);- Banking and Finance disputes - acting for both the mortgagee and mortgagor in the County and Supreme Courts;- Commercial transactional matters including preparation of loan agreements, mortgages, and other security documents, and exercising the mortgagee’s power of sale; - Property and land law disputes - caveat disputes, commercial and retail tenancy disputes, s32 disputes, avoidance and/or enforcement of off the plan contracts of sale, owners corporation disputes and other tribunal matters;- General property transactional matters, including preparation of commercial leases, acting in general land law matters, adverse possession claims, preparation and lodgement of plans of subdivision and consolidation;- Property development and subdivision matters, including large scale multi-level property subdivisions and associated attendances (eg. drafting contracts of sale, various licence agreements, dealing with all associated LTO paperwork, attendances on first mortgagee’s legal representative regarding complex variations to trust deeds for the purpose of financing developments).
