I began working at Hemar, Rousso and Heald, LLP in April, 1994. We are creditor's rights attorneys and represent banks, leasing companies and other types of, for the most part, commercial creditors. Our role is to help our clients recover on outstanding bad debt. That role can include reviewing legal options with the client and debtor and, when needed, filing suit and pursuing the lawsuit up to judgment. Unlike many law firms which stop work once judgment is entered, we then continue with post judgment options to do all we can to make our clients whole.Prior to Hemar, Rousso and Heald, LLP, in fact prior to and during law school, I worked at Bank of America, first as a collector and then as a trainer of other collectors. During law school, and immediatefly following law school, I clerked at the firm of Hunt, Ortmann, Blasco, Palfey and Rossell. After graduation from law school, I passed both the California and Utah State Bar examinations. While almost all of my work is in California, I do have the occasional matter which requires the Utah license. During my time at Hemar, Rousso and Heald, LLP, I have filed, pursued and resolved too many lawsuits to count. While my work does involve litigation, my favorite aspect of being a lawyer is getting parties to talk with each other and arrive at a solution which is favorable to my client and fair to both parties.
