General work activities include: running inspections on advanced communication systems, repairing when necessary within working trade, fitting and managing equipment and Batteries, updating paperwork from inspections, constructing and maintaining a functional communications vehicle (CV).Normal daily workloads required me to: be proactive and actively locating the correct procedure to complete a tasking, complete complex duties with demanding time limits, problem-solve through fault finding, have excellent communications skill while operating a communications vehicle (CV) and provide exceptional customer services when dealing with senior management.My current role is the management and maintenance of 40 civilian vehicles for the Regiment. I am required to audit transport request documents and assigning vehicles for authorised use, I also manage extensive Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for maintaining and the tracking of vehicles, I am required to maintain open communication with senior management regarding requests and negotiating to suit current vehicle availability, I assign taskings to a team of civilian and military drivers to accommodate the transport requirements, I effectively communicate with private companies to acquire vehicles if the tasking is unable to be met and co-ordinate an effective plan to maintain, service or repair vehicles.For extensive duties I have completed within my role, that far exceed my current rank I have been awarded an official commendation by my Officer Commanding for going above and beyond what was required of me.Further, in addition to my current role I also advise senior management regarding Health and Safety matters within the workplace, this includes providing requests to change the current equipment locations and inspection states, communicating to management the outdated evacuation plan in place and possible changes, and also changes in which practise evacuations are carried out.
