Work experience; Generic intake worker, specialising in mental health; staff development and training officer for mental health; group leader/lecturer on the NW training consortium, Manchester and Staffordshire Universities. Chaired ASWIG (The Approved Social Work Interest Group). Community Mental Health Team Manager, Manager of Community Drug and Alcohol Service; Emergency Duty Team for Adult services. Forensic Social Care Manager for Mersey Forensic Psychiatry Service (Medium & Community Forensic Services). Head of Forensic Social Care, Mersey Care NHSF Trust, (Ashworth Hospital). Seconded to the department of Health; Member of the Mental Health Act Advisory Committee; National Confidential Inquiry Steering Group as well as providing keynote speeches to National conferences on Social Care.
