Cyber Defense Operations SpecialistUnited States Air Force Aug 2016 - PresentRandolph Afb, Tx, UsCurrently a Technical Sergeant (E-6) stationed at 181st Intelligence Wing, INANG with over 5 years active duty time. My AFSC (Air Force Specialty Code) is 1D771Q; Cyber Defense Operations Craftsman. My duties are as follows:- Deploys, sustains, troubleshoots and repairs standard voice, data, video network and cryptographic client devices in fixed and deployed environments. Sustains and operates systems through effective troubleshooting, repair, and system performance analysis. Manages client user accounts and organizational client device accounts.- Maintains TS/SCI Security Clearance and CompTIA Security+ certificate in order to perform duties.- Performs as a maintenance technician position for U-2 SIGINT/ELINT/IMINT sensors during ISR missions. Oversee logs and respond accordingly to errors by sending appropriate scripts to alleviate internal sensor issues. Establishes, maintains and troubleshoots lines of communication between points-of-contact, pilot and mission operations commander (MOC). - System Administrator for 181st IW and several Air Force Enterprise networks. Oversee hundreds of user accounts across six classified networks, maintains cyber security, hardware and software standards across 70+ positions containing multiple top secret and secret systems, providing 24/7 support.- Effective communication; Filling out trouble tickets for easy comprehension for colleagues and other maintenance sites. This includes Serena business manager, JIRA, and ServiceNow.- Physical Training Leader: provide physical training tests and physical fitness guidance to improve overall readiness.- Assisted in creation and developed an SOP of DevOps support for various web applications and automation tools for the AF enterprise during a 2-week deployment. -
Undergraduate Physics Research AssistantIndiana State University Sep 2022 - Dec 2022Terre Haute, In, UsResearching 5-Dimensional Modeling of Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) in Heavy-Ion Collisions under the advisement of Dr. Sean Bartz (continuation of research from SURE 2021). Poster attached presented at APS April Meeting 2023:- Mapping the phase boundary between ordinary nuclear matter and the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) is an important project for both experiment and theory. Of particular interest is the search for the critical point, the value of temperature and baryon chemical potential where the smooth phase transition becomes discontinuous. Anti-de Sitter/Quantum Chromodynamics (AdS/QCD) is an application of the gauge/gravity duality that describes some aspects of nuclear matter, including the QGP. This work is an example of a soft-wall AdS/QCD model, which uses a dilaton field to set the overall energy scale and introduces a black hole to model thermodynamics. We study the chiral phase transition in a model with a coupling between the chiral field and the dilaton, which has been shown to produce a critical point. We study the effect of the quark mass and scalar-dilaton coupling coefficient on the location and existence of the critical point.- Numerically solved chiral phase transitions through a number of python scripts to find first-order (discontinuous) and crossover (continuous) phases transitions dependent on quark mass, baryonic chemical potential, and chiral-dilaton coupling strength. -
Physics TutorIndiana State University Aug 2021 - Dec 2022Terre Haute, In, UsProvided tutoring assistance to those in physics classes and labs, in attempt to convey concepts that might be difficult to grasp:- Understood how students think and approach problems in order to better guide them toward a more concise process and ultimately, the solution.- Tutored up to multiple people at one time, ensuring that people are set and able to proceed with problems they are working on and answering questions that benefit their learning most. -
Undergraduate Physics Research AssistantIndiana State University Dec 2021 - Aug 2022Terre Haute, In, UsResearched axial magnetic field generation from Gaussian beams with Dr. Guoping Zhang:- Developed understanding of Xmgr/Grace and Gnuplot, graph plotting software, to convey graphs used to describe theory as well as results from programs and calculations.- Developed understanding of LaTeX documentation software for proper technical writing etiquette.- Created FORTRAN scripts to maximize multivariate magnetic field functions, derived from laser vector potentials. -
Summer Undergraduate Research Experiences (Sure)Indiana State University Feb 2021 - Jul 2021Terre Haute, In, UsWith the SURE 2021 program, conducted research in 5-Dimensional Modeling of Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) in Heavy-Ion Collisions under the advisement of Dr. Sean Bartz:- Worked in a kanban-style system in order to create and execute many differential equation solvers for QGP critical points with various parameters. This was completed via Python scripts to accumulate data for our models.- GitHub experience in order to check and verify programs between my partner and our advisor.- Presented to an audience on background information, current and future research.- Presented at the SURE 2021 Symposium held by Indiana State University, conveying ideas and teaching anyone interested in our topic. -
Undergraduate Physics Research AssistantIndiana State University Apr 2020 - Jan 2021Terre Haute, In, UsResearched beta-amyloids in Alzheimer's disease and all-optical spin switching (AOS) with Dr. Guoping Zhang, publishing a paper on the latter topic:- Developed basic understanding for GROMACS software, creating models of molecules to be run through dynamic, organic systems.- Developed understanding of WEIN2K, in order to create lattice-crystal structures of materials for AOS.- Configured and used Fortran scripts to compute and return data of laser interactions with various materials, of varying sizes. These were executed on Indiana State University's supercluster computers, with over a dozen day-to-week long jobs at a time.- Processed dozens of plots and graphs of spin changes, refining the parameters of both the lasers and materials to find optimal AOS configurations. -
Physics Laboratory AssistantIndiana State University Jan 2020 - May 2020Terre Haute, In, UsProvided assistance to students within the physics laboratory, and educated them on physics concepts through various experiments:- Quick paced teaching for small groups, in order to convey ideas and procedure in a timely manner.- Developed deeper understanding of PASCO Capstone software, in order to understand faults and troubleshoot issues with the hardware and/or software.
