Robert (Bob) Meagher has over 25 years of international experience in the renewable and traditional energy industry. His experience spans the onshore and offshore aspects of hydrogen, geothermal, oil and gas operations in the areas of:exploration (seismic and drilling), petroleum construction,conventional and unconventional production, midstream pipelining and processing,transmission pipeline and distribution,major hazard facilities, and downstream processing and storage. His experience in regulatory approvals, regulatory reform, environment, quality, health and safety (HSE) has included operations in eight countries and ten hydrocarbon basins around the globe. These operations include emerging hydrogen, conventional oil and gas projects, geothermal, onshore and offshore Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), unconventional coal seam gas (CSG), shale gas and oil sands. As a biologist he has worked in extreme environments from the arctic of Canada to the South China Sea of Vietnam. West to Kenya and across to the plains of Botswana. Eastward to the highlands of Papua New Guinea and across the sea through to the tropical, arid and temperate lands of Australia and New Zealand ending in the turbulent seas of the Bass Strait and Otway Basin. His principal focuses are practical and successful environmental outcomes for the renewable energy and petroleum explorers and producers in all of the regions he has had the privilege to practice. As a collaborative industry and business leader Bob is trusted by senior management to hold roles which focus on the execution of environment aspects of petroleum exploration, production and operations from cradle to grave internationally. The roles have challenged Bob with the leading and engaging in external regulatory reform with industry and the regulator, while managing the change within small, medium and large sized businesses. Bob holds a BSc. in Biology from the University of Saskatchewan and a Cert. in Environmental Management from the University of Calgary.
