Warehouse Team Lead
• Responsible for day to day warehouse operations of a large wholesale company.• Manage a team of 4 Material Handlers to ensure job tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.• Coordinate outbound logistics for LTL and FTL shipments.• Work directly with shipping companies to ensure appropriate rates and timelines are met.▪︎ Reconcile logistics invoices to ensure charges are correct and look for ways to improve shipping rates.▪︎ Oversee Cycle Counts and annual inventory, reconcile all discrepancies, and use accounting codes to ensure appropriate accountability for any shortages or overages.• Extensively use MS Office, specifically Excel and MS Teams. Create and build databases with Excel to track inventory efficiency and shipping rates.▪︎ Responsible for coordinating inbound shipping containers from China. Work directly with US Customs and freight forwarders to procure inbound product.• Submit payroll for all warehouse personnel as well as seasonal, temporary personnel.• Certified Forklift trainer responsible for the training and certification of full time employees.
