A 33 year veteran of the Property Management industry, 25 of those as an On-Site Chief Engineer for several prominent Chicago firms where I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best Contractors/Vendors in the industry. My goal has always been to establish a relationship of trust and understanding with these Contractors/Vendors that can be fostered into a partnership where a "superior"​ end product is the deliverable norm. Being the On-Site Chief Engineer has allowed me to experience many different aspects of this profession. Working with the development team at The Habitat Company and The Fordham Company has given me an unbelievable education in regards to how buildings are transformed from an idea on paper to a living piece of architecture on the Chicago skyline. I have been fortunate enough to work along side some great people during this time whom I have great admiration for and without them my career would not have been nearly as exciting.One of my pet projects is my "Quarterly Training"​ for all 250+ Engineers and Head Janitors of the properties FirstService Residential Illinois manages. Being able to "pay it forward"​ and share industry innovations, best practices and educational seminars with them gives me great satisfaction. Recent participation by peer employees in these seminars is opening new doors where conversations regarding building issues are being discussed in a forum that allows critical thinking, idea sharing, and a sense of camaraderie that is definable as "intuitive" for all that participate.
