Internal Controls/Audit• Conducing monthly Critical Financial Reporting Controls and the Business Critical Controls audits for the Region.• Monitoring action plans to improve CFRC and BCC.• Identifying areas within the production process that requires improvement.• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports in respect of Internal Controls within the Region to be presented at the relevant governance forums.• Continuous development and improving Internal Control systems within the Region.• Conducting Project Completion Reviews on completed projects for benefit realisation and reporting of findings in line with PFMA.Management and facilitation of Internal and External audits at the Region • Management of TIA audits to ensure that the audit takes place with the budget allocation.• Audit Preparation Reviews for upcoming audits.• Attendance of Opening and Close-Out meetingsPFMA reporting for the Region• Identifying and Reporting of all actual PFMA losses for the Region • Identifying and Investigating Potential reportable PFMA incidents.Control Self Assessments (CSAs)• Maintenance of Risk and Control Matrix on SAP GRC for the Region. • Reviewing the controls on the system to ensure they are relevant and applicable. • Following up on control owners with outstanding assessments and on ineffective or requires improvement rated controls. Issue Tracking Management and GRC SOD Management• Following up on open findings for the Region and ensuring that they are closed timeously.• Providing Mitigations on SAP Access Violations.• Ensuring that there are no Critical, High or Medium Violations for the Region. Centre Acquisition Council (CAC)• Reviewing Tender submissions for the region for the weekly CAC meetings. • Provide governance and internal controls guidance on submissions.Scrap Disposal • Addressing scrap problem areas for the Region.Fraud Working Group • Member of the FWG for the Region. • Assisting the Forensic Team with gathering information.
