Bob is a serially successful business leader having operated six companies over the last thirty years. Five out of the six companies were either sold or went public.Bob has served on over a dozen Boards in companies (several he operated and also as an independent Board Member). Additionally, Bob constructed and practiced "Board of Director - Best Practices" while a member of a $4B Private Equity firm (operating 30 portfolio companies).Since mid 2019, Bob has served in several leadership positions at UPshow, including: Strategic Planning; Operations; Customer Success; Marketing and Sales. In October 2020, Bob was appointed as president. Since Bob became active at UPshow, the company's ARR has approximately doubled and the company raised approximately $14M in capital.Prior to UPshow, Bob was the CEO of RMG Networks (Nasdaq: RMGN). Under Bob's leadership, the company has realized significant improvement in its financial performance. Contributing to this success has been a total refresh in corporate strategy, company-positioning, the Leadership Team and the technology platform.Bob was recognized as the 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year® (Technology – Southwest Region) Prior to joining RMG Networks as CEO, Bob served as an Operating Partner with the $5B private equity firm, Sterling Partners. Bob was responsible for consulting with the 30 portfolio-company CEOs in the development of their strategic plans and in preparing them for successful sales of their businesses. Additionally, Bob had accountability as the Lead Director of 4 portfolio companies (2 of which were SaaS software companies).Bob brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic planning, organizational development, technology and driving sales excellence. Bob has operated companies primarily in the technology, marketing services, data & analytics and the education industries. Bob has had particular success in preparing and transitioning companies for successful exits. Additionally, Bob has had success in leading companies who had been encumbered with modest sales growth and dissipating customer satisfaction, to ones that achieved accelerated sales and customer success. Bob began his career as a Systems Engineer with IBM. He has a BS in marketing / economics from Indiana University.
