Provides network engineering and operations for Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR). Responsible for in-depth knowledge, maintenance requirements, and system configuration of SOCEUR’s LANs routers, switches, firewalls, Cisco Call Manager(CCM), and encryption devices (KG-250/255/175) in order to ensure the operational capability of the Command's IT networks. Understanding of IP converged architectures, network topology, routing, and be able to use test equipment to identify routing/WAN problems and make necessary changes without degrading connectivity to other sites/nodes. Installs and integrates network enhancements and upgrades ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability between internal and external organizations and their separate communications systems. Responsible for providing cut sheets and configurations for the SOCOM Strategic Entry Point (SSEP) routers, data switches, CCMs, Avaya voice switches and encryption devices. Works daily with deployed users in accessing the SSEP allowing them to utilize data, voice and VTC services.

Macdill Afb, Tampa, Fl (Socom)

Responsible for operations and maintenance of the SCAMPI Wide Area Network. Primary duties include installing, programming, and testing Voice switches (,Avaya, Meridian 1 Option 11, Redcom IGX ), maintaining Asynchronous Technology Method (ATM) switches (Marconi ASX-200BX and ASX-1200), Cryptologic Equipment (KG-75, KG-95), Timing devices (TrueTime GPS, Cesium Clock), and test equipment (TTC-750, Fireberd 8000 and 6000). Secondary duties include the integration, programming and testing of SCAMPI legacy equipment such as the Time-Division Multiplexers (IDNX-20, IDNX-90, Promina 800) CISCO TCP/IP Switches, and video teleconferencing equipment with the ATM hardware.

Tampa, Fl (Socom)

Project Lead - responsible for engineering, installation and implementation the SOF Deployable Node (SDN) and SDN Lite gateways. Provided technical support to the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Deputy Program manager and assisted in the day-to-day technical execution of tasks in the SCAMPI lab. Fundamental in the testing, evaluation and eventual transition of the SOCOM WAN to ATM technology. Troubleshot and performance tested the entire DS-3 SCAMPI network. Installed Meridian Option 11’s, Cesium Clocks, and ATM equipment at customer sites, troubleshot and tested all Red and Grey Voice/Data/VTC circuits. Worked directly with customer to ensure all voice PBX requirements were met.
