Ministry of Defence - Feb 2020 - May 2021 ( full time contractor)Article 18 Safety Advisor at a large Military site covering Fire, Environmental and Health & Safety. Site had 96 buildings and over 2000 military and civilian staff. Working with Strategic Command, the Regulator and the site's FM provider to identify non-compliances and the necessary actions required to ensure compliance with legislation, British Standards, and MOD requirements. Provided consultancy to a number of organisation on various Health & Safety and Fire Safety issues, carried out H&S and Fire Risk Assessments Type 1 and Type 2, and provided on the job additional training. Examples; Ministry of Justice/SERCO Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessments at all the main Crown, County, and Magistrates Courts in London and East Anglia. This included the Old Bailey and the Royal Court of Justices. This was dealing with their high-risk areas and unusual layouts.  Providing Strategic level advice to a Housing Organisation. After HSE enforcement visit dealing with a number of late reporting of RIDDOR’s involving Hand, Arm Vibration injuries, putting in place the required Policies and Procedures for this area. Also carried out for other company’s Health, Safety and Fire advice, Policies, Procedures, Risk Assessments and COSHH Risk Assessments and Audits covering; Commercial Buildings, Shopping Malls, Social Housing Association, Hotels, Clubs, Restaurant’s, Pubs, and New build and Refurbishment construction sites in and around London.

I was the HSE and Fire Manager for Emcor Group (UK) a global Facilities services company. My primary responsibilities for this company included auditing buildings across the UK and abroad ensuring compliance with the various regulations for both H&S and Fire. I have implemented Action Plans, thus ensuring Regulatory compliance. Provided advice on; Fire and H&S Regulation compliance, safe working systems related Health, Safety and Environmental issues. I carried out training and regularly gave Power Point presentations on a variety of issues. I put together and introduced a new Fire Log Book that I have written and produced for all the buildings on the account. I have been TUPE to Integral carrying out the same role as part of the process of them winning the renewed contract.

Cheltenham & Slough

I was the Health Safety and Environmental Manager for Ontic, BBA Aviation a global aviation company. My primary responsibilities on this new site have included overseeing and assessing the DSEAR requirements. I have implemented a HS&E Action Plan, thus ensuring Regulatory compliance across all HS&E Regulations. I carried out the induction of personnel, and contractors. Developing and implementing a number of local policies, procedures and carried out Risk and COSHH Assessments. I have assessed the Noise and Vibration levels and where necessary implemented mandatory requirements, ensuring the implementation of safe systems of work (SSOW). Provided advice on; Occupational Health Surveillance, Regulation compliance, and Environmental issues. I carried out awareness training and regularly gave Power Point presentations on a variety of health and safety issues. I gave training on a programme of behavioral based safety, and the introduction of peer to peer safety audits. I was also responsible for a second facility based in Slough that provides Oxygen systems for the leading defense and commercial aircraft manufactures and operators.

I was the Health Safety and Environmental Manager for Project First a major engineering installation, and construction Company. Working for the various major supermarket chains, includes new builds, refurbishment and refresh sites. Responsible for all the companies HS&E issues plus ensuring compliance with all H&S Legislation. Having gained and maintained the SAFEcontractor, ROSPA and FGAS accreditations. I carried out major safety audits at premises, and construction sites across the country, both prior and during construction. Advising site mangers and attending safety meetings with clients. I undertook in-house elements of safety training. I was responsible for all major accident investigations under RIDDOR and recently carried out a major asbestos incident investigation. I assisted in the occupational health assessments of staff, and in the completion of PQQ’s. I provided visible HSE direction, leadership and drive at all levels and was the authoritative source of H,S&E and Fire Safety advice for everyone in the Company. I maintained and develop good relations with the internal and external customers including official bodies.
