I spent 20 years in the environmental industry investigating a wide variety of industrial sites. Investigations at UST sites, chemical plants and refineries were generally straightforward affairs while some of the Superfund sites were more challenging due to the unusual nature (Odessa Chromium) and the subsurface geology (IWC) of the sites. But always, the train derailments, especially the first day, were the most exciting and challenging! People, the unknowns concerning what had been released, and the media made for new surprises each time out. Then the railroad's heavy pressure to get the trains rolling again within 24 hours was a constant ingredient.I then spent 8 years with three entrepreneurial endeavors where I learned the essentials of custormer service and the importance of cash flow and constant need for sales efforts!I have very recently (March 09) moved to a different arena of the environmental industry - the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants. I expect this work to take me across Texas and probably into neighboring states. My goals are to continue to grow and learn as much as I can about this new arena and contribute to the growth of the organization with my integrity, hard work and team attitude.
