My role as of Central Primary Services Manager (CPSM) was to facilitate and co-ordinate the delivery of the Clinical Social Care Governance agenda within Primary Care. The post operated alongside those of the Primary Services Managers (PSMs) to ensure that processes of risk management, quality, audit and equality were centrally co-ordinated and connected across Primary Care. The role also required service specific improvement projects to be undertaken to enhance care provision. I also had management responsibility for some of the Primary Care specialist nursing services i.e. continence, diabetes, respiratory, stoma and tissue viability.Achievements:I built up an integrated care team with various professional groups, with myself acting as a one point of contact between GPs and the Trust services.Regional presentations to demonstrate/promote the Primary Care Integrated Care model.I was appointed as the Nurse commissioning representative on the Ards Local Health and Social Care Group to influence local service provision, which I did for approximately 2-3 years.
