I started trucking in 2014 for a dairy business and realised almost instantly that I have a passion for driving lorries. I have always enjoyed travelling around, even from a young age I have had a natural interest in anything transport related. Once I had been driving Class 2 trucks for 2 years I felt ready to go for my Class 1 (artic) license, passed my test and my passion only grew. When i got my class 1 I found more doors of opportunity open. I gradually gained more experience with local runs on fridge and curtainsider work. I then moved onto long distance "tramping" work mainly where I am working at currently at Lawsons Haulage. I have gained more experience at Lawsons than any other employer which I have been with. They have trained me on pulling extended long loads, wide loads, running under in house escort and also police escort. I have been put into situations where my own initiative and focus has been needed to succeed. I have covered roughly 90% of the UK now and I am now looking to move permanently to Canada to further my experience and grow as a professional driver. I have always seen Canada as a amazing place, and of course i have seen some of the TV shows which have prompted me to persue my passion over there.
