**Key Responsibilities:**1. **Safety Program Management:** - Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures. - Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations and standards. - Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.2. **Training and Education:** - Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels. - Promote safety awareness and accident prevention through training sessions, safety talks, and other communication methods.3. **Incident Investigation and Reporting:** - Lead investigations of safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses. - Analyze incident data to identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions. - Prepare and submit required safety reports and documentation.4. **Risk Management:** - Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards. - Implement measures to reduce or eliminate risks and ensure a safe working environment.5. **Continuous Improvement (CI):** - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and processes. - Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies to identify and implement safety improvements. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety improvements and make necessary adjustments.6. **Leadership and Collaboration:** - Lead the Safety Committee and other safety-related teams. - Collaborate with management, employees, and external agencies to promote a culture of safety. - Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on safety-related matters.7. **Emergency Preparedness:** - Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. - Coordinate emergency drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.
